How to Become a Student-at-Large
Want to be involved but your major is already represented or don’t have the time commitment to be a senator? No worries, you can become a Student-at-Large.
A Student-at-Large can serve on our committees without having to attend the weekly meetings or worry about fulfilling office hours.

Academic Affairs is the newest committee on senate. We focus on in-classroom concerns such as academic policy and curriculum design.
In charge of helping student organizations become Senate Recognized. We work with groups of students that want to bring a new club or revive an old one to help add to the diversity at NJIT.
Responsible for assisting clubs with any finance related question. At the end of the academic year, we are responsible for creating a budget for the next fiscal year.
Responsible for running senate events, managing and distributing inventory equipment, and ensuring a clean office for the Student Senate.
Public Relations publicizes senate information and events. We are also responsible for the senate website and social media pages.
Student Affairs is the arm of Student Senate. We focus on the everyday issues that affect the student body. We are committed to improving student satisfaction with academics, student life and the NJIT campus.
